AFWERX SBIR Phase II 2025

Fourth State Communications has been selected for an AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II award supporting continued research and development in high-frequency (HF) communications.

This Phase II effort builds on prior SBIR work to advance controllable, resilient long-range data transport for time-sensitive applications. The research focuses on improving system performance through disciplined engineering of propagation, link margin, and data rate behavior in complex HF environments.

The award reflects continued collaboration with AFWERX and the Air Force Research Laboratory to explore innovative approaches to long-range communications where predictability, control, and performance under real-world conditions are critical.

Fourth State Communications appreciates the opportunity to continue this work in support of Department of Defense research initiatives.

This material is based upon work supported by the Department of the Air Force under AFWERX SBIR Phase II. Any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Department of the Air Force.
